Who is responsible for what

For your account, meaning your name, your phone number or email and whatever you build, Minted Vows decides how that information is used and is responsible for it.

For your guests, meaning the list you paste in, the replies they send and the wishes they leave, you decide. You chose to invite them, you chose what to ask them, and you can delete any of it. We hold that information on your behalf and act on your instructions. In data-protection language you are the controller and we are the processor. In plain language: your guest list is yours, not ours.

What we collect

From you, when you make an account

We never see a password, because there isn’t one. The codes we send are stored only as a one-way hash, and they expire in ten minutes.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Who else sees it

Only the companies that make the product work, and only the part each one needs. We do not sell data, and we do not share it for advertising.

We would also hand over information if the law genuinely required it, and we would tell you unless we were forbidden from doing so.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Our providers store data on servers outside Ghana. Where information leaves the country, it goes to established companies whose own terms commit them to protecting it.

What you can ask for

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it in a particular way. Write to hello@mintedvows.com and we will reply. There is no form and no fee.

If you are a guest rather than a couple and want your name, number or reply removed, you can write to us and we will pass it on and act on it, but the fastest route is usually the couple themselves, since it is their guest list and they can delete any entry from their dashboard immediately.

Children

Minted Vows is for adults planning a wedding. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a child’s details end up on a guest list, they are there because a couple put them there, and the couple can remove them.

Keeping it safe

Sign-in codes are stored only as hashes and expire quickly. Sessions can be revoked. Payment details never touch our servers. Private links, meaning the editing link, a guest’s invite link and a peek link, are long and unguessable, but they are links: anyone you send one to can use it, so send them only to people you mean to.

No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you rather than hope you do not notice.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell account holders directly.
